Inspired by the humor and the dreamlike character of poems from Robert Frost or Edna Millay, Eve used several of their texts as starting points for new compositions. To interpret them, she wanted an instrumentation that opens new perspectives and stimulates imagination in a profound way. She asked the singer Lynn Cassiers and the double bass player Lennart Heyndels, who both use electronics in combination with their instruments.

The use of electronics blended with acoustic instruments brings its innovative sound to the band. Combining it with refined compositions, their music has a unique character. They create atmospheres that can be unsettling or humorous, that can bring to introspection or let startling images appear.

Lysis means the biological process of a cell whose membrane is breaking down. This illustrates their way of making music: transcending boundaries and deconstruct preconceptions to patiently let the unexpected appear.
